Well it all starts with the making of the gingerbread. Its a little bit of a process. First you make it, then roll it out onto the cookie sheets so its flat. Then you sprinkle sugar, then trace the windows out. Then you bake it. Then you cut out the windows that will be filled with jolly ranchers. The other windows are cut out later. Then you crush jolly ranchers and put them in the windows and cook again for a couple minutes. They are like stain glass windows! So pretty. Then the gingerbread sits out for around a week. Then the fun begins! Then you put up the walls together with burnt sugar and some wooden dowels in the corners to keep house up. The rest of the house is decorating! Kelly is amazing at the detailing, and I am basically just there to help her. I put the silver balls on all the edges with tweezers! Then once the house is up with the decorations, you do the outside. We made homemade lollipops for the lakes around the house, fluffy white frosting for snow, candy cane fences, and she does all the finishing touches. They keep the house in their kitchen on a table with decorations around it! I will take a picture of the final result and post!
