SCOOTER!!!!! We have been wanting a scooter since last summer, and have been saving up and finally got one! We assembled a few simple things last night after we picked it up in american fork, then woke up this morning at nine and have been riding it all day!! We even drove over to mom and dads house and surprised mom! We went to lunch and she drove behind us on our way home and then took this picture in front of our house. WE LOVE IT!!!!!! 

So I just got home from my first day of work. I woke up at six thirty, which I haven't done since high school! I have to leave the house at eight, and be there by eight thirty. So my job as an assistant is to set up everyones stations. So I did that first, and then I waited until we had a "huddle" to talk about the day. We went over announcements, and they welcomed me as the new member of the Brick House team! It was a busy day and I did a lot of watching and standing up. I am not even allowed to touch any clients until I am done with the first month of the assisting program. I will start taking classes on may 4th, which will be my training. I just got home at about three, and I am exhausted! Whoever said doing hair and standing on your feet all day is crazy.. cuz it totally wares me out! So anyway, I love the environment.

I am loving this warm weather! I came home from work and made a salad and ate it outside on the porch while some old guy was weeding our garden.. creepy. But its so nice outside, it made me think of summer and I really look forward to more sunshine. I hope to see more of it!

So I thought I would just throw this idea out there and see what you guys all think...So I have had this idea to do my own princess parties for little girls. I obviously love to do hair (especially my little nieces) and I love updos, wedding hair, high school proms, fashion shows, photo shoots.. etc. So I came up with this idea of doing princess parties.

I would want to put together a package deal and they can choose from the following options:

I would dress up like any princess and do photos &autographs

I would have a friend/family member take photos

Picture frame decorating

Hair, makeup & nails

Face painting

Watch a princess movie

Teach a dance

Etc.

Party Favors including:

Tiara

Princess books

Makeup

Etc.

So I want to see what people think, and if you have any ideas of any other activities that sound fun please let me know! I really think this would be a fun idea to do outside of the salon. So give me a message telling me how you like it!

Hey everyone! So I cant figure out how to post anything on our blog, so I will just give an update on the Hatch blog! So last week I got a call from Brick House Retreat and they told me they want to hire me! Its my first real job (besides hollister of course)... "Have you heard how GREAT our jeans fit?".... haha anyway.. So here is the address to Brick House so check it out! http://www.retreatsalonspa.com/ So I start on monday, and I just will be assisting for a couple months. So basically my jobs include, cleaning stations, sweeping hair, assisting with washing hair, giving products to the person I'm assisting, walk clients out to the front, taking education classes to learn about Brick houses products and color line. I am the only one they hired this time when looking for assistants, which means I'm the only one in the education classes and so I get the teacher all to myself! We have education classes every monday, and then I will assist wednesdays, thursdays, and every other saturday. My hours are pretty random.. like 9-1 some days and 9-3 or 9-5 other days. They are really flexible with summer schedules, so if there is a jackson hole trip I need to know asap!! Its so exciting having a real job.. I cant wait! The salon staff seems so excited to have me, and I cant wait to get started! I'll give you another update soon!
